Charvis Set To Make Wales A Debut

Colin Charvis will turn back the clock eight years on Friday night when he wins his first Wales A cap against France.
The 46-times capped Swansea back row man was dropped from the Welsh Six Nations squad for taking a holiday prior to the Irish match.
But he has been restored to the A team for the second round of the championship and will make his Wales A debut on the same ground where he first played for a Welsh national team.
That was as a replacement for Wales Under 21 in their 25-15 victory over France in 1994.
Capped by the British Lions in Australia last summer, Charvis is one of eight changes to the Wales A starting line-up from the team that
went down in Ireland.
There are four changes behind the scrum, where Neath’s Andy Moore takes over from the injured Gareth Cooper at scrum half, Matthew Watkins and Leigh Davies come into the centre in place of Tom Shanklin and Gareth Thomas and Matthew James replaces Adrian Durston
at full back.
Llanelli lock Vernon Cooper replaces the injured Mike Voyle in the second
row, while there is a completely new back row.
Charvis appears on the blindside ahead of Alix Popham, Brett Sinkinson swaps with Gavin Thomas on the openside and Michael Owen replaces Geraint Lewis at No 8.
Newcomers to the replacements bench are Will Thomas, Dafydd Jones and Dale
Burn.
