Former International Retires

At the age of 36 the former Cardiff captain and Wales utility back David Evans has decided to retire from club rugby.
Evans won 12 caps from 1989 to 1995 and appeared in both the 1991 and 1995 World Cup final rounds. He skippered Cardiff in 1991/92 and was an Oxford Blue in 1988.
Born in Wootton Basset in Wiltshire, Evans schooled at Aberdare Comprehensive and won Wales caps at School, Student and University levels.
He was the first player to score a point in the Premier Division of Heineken rugby when he kicked a second-minute penalty against Swansea in September 1990.
He went on to score over 1,000 league points with Cardiff, Treorchy and latterly Dinas Powys.
