Head coach Steve Hansen:
‘Now it is a matter of growing as a team – it is not going to come overnight. For Canada we will stick to the plan that we have put in place.
‘The plan we have is bigger than just playing these four autumn internationals.
‘As a management group we have had a lot of faith in the squad and we always knew we were capable of performing as well as we did on Saturday.’
Wales centre Jamie Robinson:
‘We knew the Fijians were so quick, if we made breaks, they would catch up and that happened a few times.
‘The back three have been given freedom to move around and to create overlaps and it worked well against Fiji.
‘Gareth Thomas and Mark Jones worked especially hard and full credit to them because they had a lot of freedom and used it well.’

Wales debut star Dafydd Jones:
‘Scott Quinnell kept winking at me and egging me on in the build-up to the game. He knows the score and everyone was brilliant with me in the days before the game.
‘Colin Charvis and Martyn Williams are British Lions and it was great to find myself in among players such as that.
‘I could not have wished to have a better debut.’
Wales’ man of the match Gareth Thomas:
‘I play rugby because it’s a team sport. It’s lovely to be man of the match, but I don’t want to take all the credit.
‘It’s nice to score tries, but it’s even better to see the Welsh team performing and winning in front of our own crowd.’
