Pontypridd put Caerphilly to the sword with a 47-8 win at the ‘House of Pain’ in the Welsh Premiership on Friday 21 February.

The writing was on the wall from the second minute, Brett Davey hit a penalty goal, and moments later converted a try he had himself scored.
A trio of three pointers and a converted Shaun James try sent Ponty into the break 26-3 to the good – Caerphilly only managing a Justin Thomas penalty-goal.
The second half saw Pontypridd extend their lead with a Paul John try.
Caerphilly did manage a try from Sione Tuipuloto but further tries from wings Gareth Wyatt and Richard Johnston, converted by Davey and one from John made the result safe.
In all Davey notched 25-points through his try, four penalty goals and four conversions as the PARKER PEN CHALLENGE CUP semi-finalists reminded the PARKER PEN SHIELD semi-finalists of the pecking order in Welsh rugby.
