Wales under 21’s have set the weekend’s rugby off with the right result – by beating their Italian counterparts 27-16 on Italian soil.
Scores came from a first half try from Pontypridd wing Matthew Nuthall, converted by Swansea centre Gavin Henson.
Henson added a penalty goal to make it 10-6 at the break.
In the second-half, Henson helped himself to 100 per cent conversion rate as he added the extras to tries from, Llanelli scrum-half Mike Phillips, and Richie Pugh.
He completed his 12-point haul with a second successful free strike at goal.
This pushed the Wales total to 27, bettering their hosts by 11, to end the evening with the honour of victory.
