In Division Two, two matches were abandoned at half-time, but leaders Llangennech won 25-10 at Cwmavon, while UWIC jumped from sixth to fourth with a 115-0 win over bottom club Hirwaun, in which the former Wales under-21 threequarter Gareth Chapman scored six of the 18 tries.
Division 3 East leaders Penygraig won 22-16 at Builth Wells, while Croesyceiliog beat Fleur de Lys 21-14 in an all-Gwent encounter. In 3 West, Felinfoel were without a game and watched Cardigan and Cwmllynfell close up with narrow victories.
Gilfach Goch pulled off a surprise 19-14 win at Pill Harriers in 4 East, where Treherbert gained a good victory at Blaengarw and in 4 West the match between top clubs Bryncoch and Maesteg Quins was called off.
Newport Saracens clung to the 5 East leadership with a 13-10 win at Brynithel, while Nantymoel and Banwen both won at the top of 5 Central with Nantymoel remaining the only unbeaten club in senior rugby in Wales.
In 5 North, Nant Conwy were level 3-3 with Pwllheli when the match was abandoned and in 6 North Bala’s 35-8 win at Rhos leaves them likely to be the first divisional winners of the season.
Referee Wayne Carter of Cardiff was injured in the pouring rain of a Bridgend Sports-Abercrave match that was abandoned when he was carried off, but he hopes to be fit again within three weeks.
Also in 6 Central, Abercwmboi swept on with a 25-19 win at Alltwen and Aberdare won away to Neath Athletic.
Division 6 East leaders Fairwater dropped to a surprise home loss against Bargoed and Cardiff HSOB edged closer by defeating Ynysddu 10-3, but Amman Utd threw the biggest shock by winning 12-6 at Trebanos in 5 West, where Llandeilo beat Glais 5-7.
In 6 West Cwmgors pulled away by defeating Neyland and Betws beat Llanelli Wanderers and in 7 East there was another shock as Llantwit Major failed to score in losing at Canton, while Llandaff North edged out Bettws 16-15.
Finally, in 7 Central it was last Tuesday that Cwmgwrach won 36-6 at Waterston Cross against South Wales Police to avoid all the wet weather.
This week there will be a Premiership match on Friday as Caerphilly entertain Llanelli and Division Two will have a match on Tuesday (March 4) as Abertillery hope to meet Rhymney.
Division One has seven matches on Wednesday (March 5) with Bonymaen home to Treorchy; Bedwas vs Rumney; Pontypool vs Llanharan; Llandovery vs Narberth; Glamorgan Wanderers vs Cross Keys; Whitland vs Blackwood and Tondu vs Beddau.
Tredegar and Newbridge look unlikely to play and Aberavon’s match against Carmarthen Quins is off until March 21.
