And Neath coach Lyn Jones is taking the Caerphilly threat seriously.

“Caerphilly have developed a strong game over the last three or four months, and qualifying for the latter rounds of European competition will have given them a lot of confidence,” he said.

“In beating Llanelli they showed that us that if we are not 100% going into the game we will suffer.

“We need to show the kind of form and commitment to playing positive expansive rugby that we had in beating Cardiff.”
