Bridgend will be without threequarter Dafydd James (shoulder), Simon Mannix (leg), John Funnell (neck), David Bishop (mumps) and former Swansea clubmen Andy Moore and Siliolo Martens (both thumb). Youngster James Donovan is called to the bench as replacement scrum half, having never yet played for the senior team.
Swansea have lost prop Ben Evans to Cardiff and also gone are coach John Connolly and forwards Rory Jenkins, John Slade and Tu Tamarua, while full back Kevin Morgan suffered injury with Wales at Murrayfield. Wing Richard Rees has been called back from his loan to Carmarthen Quins, but Wales under-21 threequarter Jonny Vaughton has suffered a fractured knee-cap. Centre Scott Gibbs a new captain as prop Darren Morris has left the club, while Tony Clement and Paul Moriarty take over as the coaches.
