The former Wales Under-21 second-row spent four years at Rodney Parade but will now look to clinch a hat-trick of victories for the Ravens over Newport this season.

Bridgend, the only side in the Welsh Premiership with a 100 per cent record, have already beaten the Black and Ambers in both the domestic and Celtic League.

“I’m looking forward to going head to head with a few old faces and it will be nice to get one up them,” said Newport-born Jones.

“I missed the last two victories over them so I’m desperate to get involved in another.”

Bridgend: G Cull; P Jones, G Thomas (capt), M James, R Mustoe; C Warlow, H Harries; P Booth, A Joy, J Thiel, R Jones, N Budgett, M Molitika, S Van Rensburg, C Harris. Replacements: A Carter, J Donovan, D Jones, R Bryan, C horsman, B Phillips, C Loader.
