EBBW VALE/NEWPORT
Coach Mike Ruddock met up with his new regional squad for the Ebbw Vale/Newport merger last week for a two-day training camp and is hoping to announce his final squad and team name at the end of June.
CARDIFF
Coach David Young will be the first of the regions to announce the regional squad set-up. At 12 noon tomorrow, Friday 6th June.
A reception is being held at the Hilton hotel in the city centre and representatives of the Cardiff Athletic Club, Cardiff Rugby Football Club Ltd. shareholders, sponsors, former players, supporters and the media will all be the first to hear the news of the new regional squad and brand.
LLANELLI
Llanelli will announce their squad and new identity in the first week in July. Director of rugby Gareth Jenkins is expected to announce a new regional team name and launch the official kit at the same time.
NEATH/SWANSEA
The Neath/Swansea merged region will announce its squad set-up and name in the latter part of the week commencing 16th June 2003. Swansea, Wales and British Lion centre Scott Gibbs has already been confirmed as the squad captain.
