The Dragons were unable to defend against the creative attacking displayed by the All Blacks.
New Zeland scored eight tries to Wales’ nil to in a one-sided affair, but Hansen felt his young troops never gave up and was supportive of all 22 players.
‘If we had have given up out there, the All Blacks would have scored 155 points not 55,’ he said. ‘They are that much better than us at the moment and it took all our resolve to keep them out.
And Hansen knows that, with such a young touring squad, every game, no matter what the result, will be important in the development of Wales’ national sport for the future.
‘We have come on for this tour and the younger players will have taken a great deal from it. If you want to compete against the best, you have got to play against the best. That is what we have done over the past couple of weeks.’
‘I just hope that the administrators in Wales look at this and realise how far we have got to go. These players over here are so far ahead. we have a long way to go.’
