Charvis will become the fourth player to lead Wales in as many Tests following Gareth Thomas against Ireland, Stephen Jones against England yesterday and Mefin Davies in the match against Romania at Wrexham on Wednesday evening (kick-off 7.05 pm).
And Charvis and hooker Robin McBryde will be the only players who will be on duty against the Scots who started in yesterday’s 43-9 defeat by England.
‘We are being consistent with our policy,’ said Hansen. ‘Right from the start we said we would only use our top players once.
‘Colin is an exception and we feel he will benefit from playing on successive Saturdays, though he is in good enough physical condition.’
