Hansen Expecting Tough Test Against England
Wales coach Steve Hansen says there are no surprises in Clive Woodward’s England side travelling to Cardiff this weekend.
‘It’s a good side but obviously not the best side,’ said Hansen.
‘These guys will be going out with the attitude of wanting to do well so it makes it even harder for us.
‘England, New Zealand and France have got great strength in depth and that’s why they’re the top three teams in the world. England have just come off a tour Down Under and a trip to Canada and Japan and they will have played a lot of rugby together.
‘One of the benefits of having a lot of money is that you can do things like that. They will be very well prepared and will be a typical English side full of confidence. England are very fortunate to be in that situation and success breeds success.
‘In speaking to Clive Woodward earlier, and gauging what he wants to get out of these games, it’s the sort of side I expected. If these players go out and play well, then they will put pressure on the players who think they are already on the plane to the World Cup.’
Asked if he thought the side was beatable, Hansen replied: ‘Every team is beatable.’
