With two rounds already under their belt and the return three fixtures taking place in December, the National Squad selectors will meet on Sunday evening to select their squad for the autumn warm up game against the Premiership All Stars on October 26th.
The first game sees North v West at 1pm. Both sides are looking for their first win in what should be a keenly fought encounter. The North, led by National Squad flanker Kylie Wislon, have a young team who are improving with every game. The West contain several of last seasons internationals including half backs Cath Walkley and Awen Thomas and will look to use the pace and awareness of Michaela Reed and Becca Stilwell to their advantage.
The second part of Sunday’s double header sees the two unbeaten sides, East and Central, locking horns, kicking off at 3pm. Both sides are packed with experienced internationals in their starting line ups and on their respective benches for what some may see as a ‘final trial’. Interesting match ups include the two front rows where all six players are current internationals and both back lines where all starting players represented Wales at either U19, Development or Senior level last season.
