Of the 11 unbeaten clubs, Newport HSOB are proving the shock club and their 23-19 victory came after having two players red-carded at Old Illtydians. Tries from match-winner Jamie Lane, Lee Howard, Matt Clements and Rob Hayes came from the winners as Mike Pritchard, James Evans and Matt Williams scored for the Illts.
Senghenydd’s Alyn Ford kicked them to a 19-12 win at Cwmbran, while in the West, Llandeilo crashed badly by 46-26 at Pontyberem and Tumble’s comeback continued by crushing Lampeter 49-17 as John Singleton 19 scored points, while Tenby are also on a revival. Skewen could not field a front row at Trebanos, though they have won one of their two matches so far this season.
Joe Sultana landed five Taffs Well penalties in a 25-16 win over Barry, while in the Glynneath won sensationally by 57-20 at Kenfig Hill and Maesteg Quins were rampant in a 55-7 away success at Ystradgynlais, though Bryncoch keep pace with them after a 36-19 success away to Seven Sisters.
