three tries. Nantyglo were excited by their 35-3 success over Usk with 32 points coming in the second half. Blaenavon opened their account with a 22-20 victory over St Albans; Trinant won 18-13 at Oakdale. while Bettws were 36-17 victors at RTB (Ebbw Vale). Llandaff and LLantwit Major are setting the pace in South East. Llandaff won a Cardiff derby by beating Rhiwbina 16-11, while Llantwit Major won 29-17 against Ogmore Vale. At the other end of the table, Ferndale slipped to their third defeat when South Wales Police’s fast young backs racked up a 43-8 success and Cilfynydd continued their good form with a 29-7 win at Bridgend Sports. Llangwm claimed their first point of the season in a 9-9 draw with visitors Aberaeron, while Furnace beat St David’s 29-17 and Crymych brushed off Pembroke by 25-10.
In South West, Pontardawe beat Neath Athletic 40-9, and there were victories for Resolven, 32-11 home to BP Llandarcy, and Crynant by 26-6 over Cwmgwrach.
