0 mins – Canada’s Bobby Ross kicks-off.
2 mins- The first scrum of the game, Canada win it comfortably.
2 mins – Canada’s James Cannon bursts through three tackles before eventually being tackled deep in the Wales 22.
3 mins -The first line out of the game, Canada win and pass the ball quickly to Ross who slots away a net drop goal from 25 meters WALES 0 CANADA 3.
5 mins -Wales win their first line out and drive toward their 10m line. Sweeney’s kick is collected by Canada’s Jamie Pritchard and he clears to touch.
6 mins -Wales first attack sees them spin the ball wide to Morgan, but the Canadian defence easily snuffs out the move.
8 mins – Colin Charvis is yellow carded for a late tackle on Ross.
10 mins – Canada camped in Wales territory, and win a penalty as Martyn Williams strays offside.
12 -Ross misses a 25 metre penalty goal attempt.
14 -Canada forwards winning a lot of ball, and feeding Ross, who is effectively kicking for territorial gain.
16-Sonny Parker scores Wales’ first try of the match in the corner. It all stemmed from Martyn Williams winning the ball at the back of the lineout. Quick hands through the backs, almost sees Kevin Morgan touch down under the posts, Wales recycle and work the ball wide to Parker who touches down. Harris converts WALES 7 CANADA 3.
18 – Wales with territorial advantage, but scrappy play from both sides. Canada forced to clear repeatedly.
21 – Wales’ lineout’s are working well, from the resulting forwards play, Canada stray offside.
22 – Iestyn Harris scores a 28 metre penalty goal, from slightly to the right of the posts WALES 10 CANADA 3.
24 – Canada struggling to clear their lines. The sides exchanging kicks that fail to find touch
27 -Canada penalised at a ruck. Harris slots a 30 metre penalty goal WALES 13 CANADA 3.
29 – Impressive play by Wales, Iestyn Harris’ initial break is supported by first Morgan and then Sweeny, they get to within 10m of the try-line before the ball becomes unplayable at a ruck. Scrum to Wales.
30 – Wales on top, and Gareth Cooper crashes over from short range after quick hands through the backs. Harris converts. WALES 20 CANADA 3.
34 – Canada waste a good chance to break as inside centre Marco di Girolamo holds on to the ball for too long, and spills the ball in contact resulting in Wales stealing possession.
36- Wales lineout on Canada’s 22 results in sustained pressure, but Canada clear.

40- Sweeney kicks-off the second-half.
42- Wales work the ball wide, and Gareth Thomas bursts down the wing, but in his eagerness to keep the move going, he passes it forward and the chance is gone. Canada clear.
44 – Good possession by Canada, they drive into Wales’ half, Mark Jones catches Ross’s up- and-under, but loses the ball, and Charvis is penalised for diving in at the ruck. Canada kick for the corner.
45 – Wales defence holds five metres out, and they eventually turn the ball over and Sweeney clears.
49 Canada earn a penalty and kick deep into Wales territory, Wales turnover the ball and Harris clears to touch.
51 – Sweeney attempts a drop goal, but it is blocked and the sides exchange kicks.
53 -Wales waste good field position with another forwards infringement at a ruck.
54- Both sides struggling to get continuity in their play.
55 – Mark Jones scores Wales’ third try. Harris to Parker to Jones – incisive play from the back line. Harris adds the extras WALES 27 CANADA 3
57Wales win a scrum against the head, and flood into the Canadian 22. A ruck is formed just metres out, and Charvis swivels round to score. Harris makes no mistake. The fourth try secures a bonus point. WALES 34 CANADA 3
62 – Wales in control of this game now, with Canada looking disjointed.
64 – Great break from Mark Jones in midfield, but he hasn’t enough support and the move fizzles out.
65 -Wales coach Steve Hansen has brought on a number of replacements in the past few minutes, and these changes have disrupted the rhythm of the game.
68 -Canada pinned down in their own 22, but clear when Wales’ lineout goes wrong
70 – Sonny Parker sin binned for repeatedly coming in from the side of the ruck.
71 – Intense pressure on the Wales try line, and it eventually pays off when replacement forward Kevin Tkachuk piles over from one metre. The conversion is good WALES 34 CANADA 10.
74 – Wales with good territory, but they are unable to consistently produce, and Canada survive.
77 – Wales win a penalty, but rather than going for the easy three, Charvis opts for the kick to the corner. The catch and drive is stopped, Harris kicks to Thomas who is waiting by the corner flag, but the kick is too strong and Canada win possession.
79 – Thomas scores a cracking try. great interpassing from Sidoli -who made the initial break – to Peel, who makes a lovely improvised behind-the-back pass, and it’s a simple 10 metre run in for Thomas. Harris completes his perfect kicking record when he adds the extras. WALES 41 CANADA 10
