With Wales thousands of miles away from form friends and family for a sustained period, having this channel of communication has proved to be a valuable way of keeping in touch with the thoughts of those back home
The Wales squad spent some quality time reading through the thousands of messages of support received before dispensing with Canada on Sunday.
Messages were handed to the players, and some were blown up and pasted on the walls of the team room.
“It has been great getting all the messages of support from home,” said Steve Hansen. “The players enjoyed reading them all in the team room in Melbourne, and we will do the same again this weekend.”
The messages certainly had the desired effect on the likes of Iestyn Harris, Gareth Thomas and Duncan Jones who produced inspired performances.
