A splendid performance by Wales under-21s, masquerading as a Presidents XV,saw them run in six tries and left the young New Zealanders way behind.
Coaches Chris Davey and Kevin Hopkins have again come up ith a splendid young squad and with a fine style with all 22 players being used.
Cardiff fly half Gareth McCarthy was a splendid link and Matthew Nuthall was faultless at full back with right wing Ifan Evans showing blistering pace and skipper Richie Pugh led by example on the flank.
Lee Thomas kicked a penalty and McCarthy scored a solo try that Thomas converted before Evans raced to touch down his second try and replacement Richard Rees made the break of the night to send McCarthy storming over and Thomas converted.
New Zealand scored a try when No 8 Dixie Harris gained the touchdown, but replacement Gavin Quinnell showed his immense power to surge over and Nuthall appeared in the line to snap over a drop goal.
Wales kept up the pace and replacement centre Richard Payne ran splendidly to send Nuthall over for the sixth try in the final minute.
