Welsh Premiership Preview

There will be seven matches kicking off at the usual 2.30pm on Saturday, but
for the first time this season a premier match will start at 5.30pm when
leaders Newport meet Pontypool at Pontypool Park.

A win by Neath over Llandovery and at least 14 tries three hours earlier would
see the Welsh All Blacks take over the leadership, but in reality Neath will
be more concerned in using the match as a warm-up for their Cup meeting with
the Drovers on December 27.
Cardiff and Llanelli are both struggling in the division and with Cardiff having won just twice in 12 appearances at Stradey Park, they may provide the bottom club with their first home win since May 17.

The toughest struggle is sure to be at Carmarthen, where the third-placed Quins take on the out-of-form fourth-placed Aberavon, with the Quins still smarting from their 41-18 loss on September 6.

Indeed, this will be the beginning of the second half of the season as all matches are the reverse of those on the opening day. Cross Keys look for the double over Caerphilly and Swansea also hope for a second victory over Bridgend.

Newbridge have suddenly hit form and will look for revenge for their 15-14 September loss to Bedwas, while Ebbw Vale may have a mission impossible to gain points at Pontypridd, but did gain 23-21 win at home on the opening day of the season.
