Wales given clean bill of health

Wales have been given a clean bill of health ahead of Saturday’s RBS Six Nations clash with England.

Soon-to-be coach Mike Ruddock was yesterday introduced to the squad as they prepare to face the World Champions at Twickenham. For the first time in this season’s championship, Steve Hansen has his original thirty strong squad to choose from.

“Robin McBryde has recovered from his bout of tonsilitis so everyone has been training this week for the first time in three or four weeks,” said Wales Team Manager, Alan Phillips.

Llanelli Scarlets hooker McBryde, who pulled out on the morning of the 29-22 defeat to France with the virus, is one of only two changes in Hansen’s team. The other being the switch of Duncan Jones for Mefin Davies.

Wales already had full-back Kevin Morgan, wing Mark Jones and hooker Gareth Williams unavailable through injury.
