Llanharan only just stayed on course for the title by defeating Narberth 30-29 with an 81st minute drop goal from fly half Mark roper to win the match.
Narberth, who defeated Maesteg on Saturday, almost gave the Division One title back to them at the Dairy Field as they led 29-27 until the last second of the match.
Leading 14-7 at the interval and then 21-14 and later 29-20, they fell back as Llanharan saw their title hopes fading, but wing Richard Radford had a try converted by full back Marc Davies and in the 79th minute Davies had a 40-metre penalty shot to win the game.
Davies missed, but Llanharan had a further two minutes left and with the last second of injury time up, Roper kept his side in the hunt before crestfallen Maesteg watchers.
Llanharan need a win at Rumney on Tuesday to put them level with Maesteg but they are 22 tries down, so may also need a point at Carmarthen Athetic on May 15.
In another Division One game, Carmarthen Athletic defeated a game Tredegar side by 52-14 with tries by Kevin Beynon (3), Chris Harries, Dewi Williams,skipper Lee Bassett, Nick Morris and Dan Evans. Julien Howells converted six and Tredegar tries came from David Davies and Chris Wheeler.
DIVISION TWO.
In the East, Fleur de Lys were held 26-all by Ystrad Rhondda, leaving Builth Wells to get one point from two games for the title, while Risca scored 4-2 on tries to defeat Rhymney 20-18 and Dinas Powys gained a rare win as they defeated Penygraig by 27-17.
In the West, Dunvant stay second after beating Aberavon Quins 38-7 on Friday and the Quins then went down 24-12 at home to Cardigan on Sunday.
