Morris Withdraws

Darren Morris has been forced to put his Wales comeback on hold after withdrawing from tomorrow’s game against the Barbarians due to club commitments.

The Leicester prop is required by the Tigers for Saturday’s wild-card final at Twickenham against Sale Sharks so is unavailable for the pre-tour match at Bristol.
It is three years since Morris, a British Lion in 2001, last played for Wales.

But Mike Ruddock chose to re-call the prop, rejuvenated by a season at Welford Road, for this summer’s tour to Argentina and South Africa.

Morris had been named on the bench for the game against the Baa-Baas at Ashton Gate but his place is now taken by second-row Peter Sidoli, younger brother of Wales lock Robert.
Meanwhile 20-year-old hooker Huw Bennett has taken the last place on the bench as back-up to Mefin Davies.
