The return of Rautenbach, who has recovered from injury, sees Eddie Andrews to the bench. Russell replaces winger Jaque Fourie, who was injured in Saturday’s win over Ireland.
Lock Bakkies Botha is still out with the ankle injury that sidelined him for the second Test against the Irish.
“Faan has been along with us for a while and was named in the first squad of the season and is now fully fit,” said White.
“Playing him now gives us the chance to get a bit of depth into the squad before the Tri Nations.”
Wales coach Mike Ruddock will name his side tomorrow. He said, “There’s been a lot continuity between their three last Tests – I think there has been only one or two changes each time.
“It’s a big strong team and we’ll have to go well but we’re certainly looking to giving it our best shot.”
