The remainder of the round is played on New Year’s Day – with the Blues entertaining the Ospreys who enter 2005 on top of the table, one point ahead of Munster.
Should the Blues spring of a surprise at the Arms Park, Munster will be ready to pounce – they entertain Leinster in the round’s last game at Musgrave Park hoping to score a more convincing win than last week’s 3-0 victory over Connacht.
The other two games – which complete a second successive round of Welsh ‘derbies’ – see the Scarlets looking to regain some form in front of their own crowd when the Dragons travel to Stradey Park, while Ulster entertain Connacht as the battle to be the third highest Irish finisher in the league continues.
