EBBW VALE DISQUALIFIED FROM KONICA MINOLTA CUP
Brecon complained that Ebbw Vale RFC played an ineligible player in the Club’s 3rd Round Cup fixture on 18th December 2004.
The player in question was Cory Billen a registered player with Brecon RFC who had not been granted a permit to play in the fixture.
The panel met with representatives of Ebbw Vale RFC and considered evidence from both Clubs and the Union’s records.
The Panel upheld Brecon RFC’s complaint and determined under Rule 16 that Ebbw Vale RFC should be disqualified from the Competition. Glamorgan Wanderers RFC will take Ebbw Vale RFC’s place in the 4th Round and play away to Carmarthen Athletic RFC on Saturday 22nd January 2005.
