Division 1
Only one match was due and Beddau gained a 28-16 win over Carmarthen  Athletic to jump over Whitland into fourth spot, but the Athletic also jumped a place as their two tries equalled Fleur de Lys but they have a better points differential.

Full back Steve Robinson led the Beddau effort with a try, conversion and two penalty goals and other tries came from centre Nathan Walters, flanker Glen Slater and centre Huw Williams. Athletic gained tries by hooker Steve Harris and wing Gareth Jones while fly half Julian Howells placed two penalty goals.

Division 2
Llantwit Fardre gained a good 23-18 win over Rumney in Two East, though both sides could make late promotion bids. Rumney led 2-1 on tries through Danny Clarke and Danny Clements and Clarke also scored a penalty, conversion and drop goal. The clubs meet again on Friday at Riverside Park.

Waunarlwydd kept their lead in Two West with a 17-3 win over Pontyberem, thanks to tries by prop Gareth Richards, hooker Lee Brooks and flanker Craig Moses. Fly half Lee Banfield added a conversion. Dunvant are making a late run at promotion and gained a 20-5 win at Newcastle Emlyn, while Mumbles shocked Corus by 15-12.

Division 3
The game of the day was in the South-West, where Rhydyfelin swept into the lead over Mountain Ash after their 22-21 win at third-placed Ruthin. It was Rhydyfelin’s 17th straight win, thanks to a late Scott Perry penalty.

The North Walians made Rhydyfelin know they had been in a battle and scored tries by veteran scrum half John Hughes, prop Eifion Roberts and centre Gareth Edwards, all converted by fly half John Tudor. Perry had earlier converted two of the three Rhydyfelin tries, scored by wing Jordan Rees (2) and scrum half Nicky Graham.

Penclawdd did their promotion hopes no harm in Three West with a 50-17 win at Llanelli Wanderers. There were wins also for Aberystwyth and Penclawdd.

Division 4
Betws gained valuable points in the lower half of the West with a 41-35 at Milford Haven, while Crymych defeated Fishguard by 13-5. In the East, the St Peter’s versus Cardiff HSOB encounter did not take place.

Division 5
Machen jumped into third place in the East after South African Darren Herbst inspired them to a 47-10 win over Gwernyfed with two tries, three conversions and two penalty goals. Other tries came from Chris Watkins, Geraint Fox, Andrew Williams, Dorian Simmonds and John Wright.

The battle hotted up at the top of the South-East as wins for Cefn Coed and Cilfynydd took them three points ahead of South Wales Police, who did not have a game. Ferndale went to Cwrt y Vil and took the points off Old Penarthians.
