PRESS RELEASE FROM THE WELSH RUGBY UNION

An open top bus parade has been one of the ideas mentioned but before such a decision can be made numerous issues have to be considered such as player availability, safety planning, security arrangements and most importantly the view of the players. Once all of these matters have been discussed between the WRU and appropriate parties an announcement will be made.
 
The Union’s prime motivation is to use the victory to help grow the game from bottom to top and encourage more people in Wales to become involved in their national sport. The Welsh players returned to duty with their Regions and clubs today (Monday) and have professional commitments right through to the end of the season and beyond.
