LLANDAFF NORTH WIN LOCAL DERBY
Quins Outside Half dictated the game from the start and kicked an early penalty to make the score 3-0. Llandaff North’s back row were very influential with good lineout work and high work rate covering every blade of grass.
Centre Jess Kidley went over for the first try of the game at a crucial point just before half time. The second try for the North came early in the second half. Kidley collected the ball during in open play and provided quick ball for the wing to score in the corner.
Quins pressure ensured most of the second half was played in Llandaff North’s territory but committed defence from Llandaff North, notably from open side flanker Simone Dive stopped the home side from converting pressure to points.
A second try by Abby King sealed the victory in a tense, hard fought game to make the score 17-3.
