“Once again, these competitions will provide the breeding ground for our National Age Grade players at U16, U18, U19 and U21. All national age grade teams have extremely tough programmes this season and this competition will certainly help us prepare our players for the challenges that lie ahead.
“We are extremely grateful to Reebok for its continued support and we are looking forward to a season as good as, if not better than last.
“The players, coaches managers and professional staff need to raise the bar so we can witness a continual improvement process at age grade level.”
The competition kicks off this weekend with two U16 games between Dragons and Scarlets at Newbridge, and Blues South and Ospreys at Llanrumney Playing Fields, both kicking off at 11am.
On Sunday, it’s the turn of the U18. The Ospreys and Scarlets meet in a re-run of last season’s final at Aberavon (12noon), and the Blues and Dragons face each other at Pontypridd (12noon).
