WRU REEBOK REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS PREVIEW

Having beaten the Scarlets 13-0 on the opening day and the Ospreys 13-12 at Newbridge two weeks ago, they travel to Rumney in Cardiff to face last season’s beaten finalists.

Jamie Woods and Rhys Jenkins scored the Dragons’ tries last time around, but it was the collective effort of the pack that was pleasing and if they manage to gain the upper hand tomorrow, coach Stuart Lawrence might be celebrating a hat-trick of wins this term. Watched by Wales senior coach Mike Ruddock last time, the forwards put one over on the Ospreys and held on for a significant success.

In the other game of the night, the Scarlets are aiming to kick start their season by beating Blues North at Stradey Park. Despite having won the competition last season, the Scarlets have kicked off the new campaign with back to back defeats against the Dragons (13-0) and Blues South (13-8).

However, they will fancy their chances against a Blues North side who were last season’s whipping boys. Having said that, the North are fresh from defeating their South neighbours 18-7 at Brecon two weeks ago.
