PRINCIPALITY PREMIERSHIP PREVIEW

Second-placed Bridgend welcome Ebbw Vale to the Brewery Field this Saturday for what promises to be a daunting trip for the visitors.
The Ravens are keeping the pressure on league leaders Neath while opponents Ebbw Vale find themselves languishing in the wrong half of the table.

Coach Chris Stephens delivered a rousing half-time team talk to steer his side to victory over Bedwas last time out but there should be no need of a repeat.

Stephens needs only remind his players that Pontypridd are hot on their heels and ready to take advantage of any slip ups.
It is now that the Raven’s credentials as one of the leagues’ high flyers will truly be tested.

At Sardis Road third-placed Pontypridd front up to Swansea and coach Simon King will expect to send the All Whites back to the coast empty-handed.

Pontypridd finished 10th last season but are piling the pressure on second-placed Bridgend and are tipped for a top three finish this year.
Swansea meanwhile are steadily distancing themselves from the league’s basement dwellers and will fight for every point.

Fourth-placed Aberavon go head to head with sixth-placed Cross Keys this weekend as part of a packed Welsh Premiership fixture list.
The Wizards are level on points with Pontypridd and are still on course to better last season’s fifth-placed finish.

After an early spell at the top of table Cross Keys have slipped but also harbour hopes of beating last season’s sixth place.

At Church Bank struggling Llandovery play Cardiff who currently sit bottom of the Welsh Premiership after just four wins in 18 games.
The Drovers are desperate for three points to ease their relegation worries and Cardiff will be looking for much the same in this crucial game.

Carmarthen play host to Glamorgan Wanderers at Carmarthen Park with the sides separated by just three points in the table.
The Quins are second from bottom while the Wanderers currently sit three points ahead in 11th.

Three points tomorrow are a must for Carmarthen if they are to preserve their top flight status this season.

In the day’s other games, Llanelli play host to Bedwas at Stradey Park, reigning champions Neath entertain Newport at the Gnoll and Pontypool go toe-to-toe with Maesteg.
