The exciting new plans will hope to see parts of the existing pitch, its memories, victories and defeats preserved as part of a public recreational area, plus a mix of 400 residential units carefully designed to meet local needs in terms of mix and balance of house types, sizes and affordability. The submission of the plans to the council will herald the start of a consultation process, ending in March 06, which will allow anyone with queries or concerns to voice these and seek answers prior to a final decision being made.
To make this process easier a series of open days are being scheduled for the New Year, starting with a dedicated exhibition for local residents. The days will allow the public to view the plans and ask questions, details of which will be found on www.scarlets.co.uk plus outline drawings of the proposed redevelopment.
