Wales Coach Mike Ruddock has pleaded with the French club not to take any risks with his Captain, but Thomas is willing to play despite the risk of further knee problems.
Thomas knee injury scare
The veteran fullback aggravated a long-standing problem with his right knee during Toulouse’s 49-42 Heineken Cup win over Llanelli Scarlets on Saturday.
“I had a problem in the last minutes,” Thomas admitted. “When I tried turn and push off, I felt it give way. I’m staying in Wales this week so I’ll get some good treatment from the Wales physio.”
While the Welsh-based players who will face England in the RBS Six Nations opener on February 4th will be rested next weekend, Thomas expects to be involved in Toulouse’s league match with Pau.
