WALES NAME SQUAD TO FACE ENGLAND
Coaches Fielies Coetsee and Jason Lewis have selected a very experienced squad, with Liza Burgess returning to the squad to potentially gain her 75th cap for Wales and Rhian Williams looking to claim her 50th cap.Â
Captain Mel Berry, and Vice-Captain Clare Flowers, also return to Six Nations action after a break, with hooker Jamie Kift, back row Dawn Mason and outside-half Naomi Thomas coming back to bolster the ranks.Â
An element of youth will also be present in the shape of UWIC’s Philippa Tuttiett and Rhian Bowden who will be hoping to make their debuts as Wales move to improve vastly on last year’s 81-0 defeat.Â
Kerry Jenkins (knee) and Amy Thompson (shoulder) are unavailable for selection due to injury.Â
Head Coach, Fielies Coetsee, is confident that Wales can put on a show in England “We’ve had a very positive build-up to the competition, with some real talent showing through during training. We were fortunate to be able to select a side that has a balance of experience and youth; a combination that we are sure will allow us to put in a strong performance.”Â
