BLUES SHOOT DOWN OSPREYS
Young watched in admiration as the Blues ran in five tries, including a hat-trick for Chris Czekaj, and a try for each of the Robinson brothers, Nick and Jamie.
The home side were much the stronger and urged on by over 7,000 fans at the Arms Park, played arguably one of their best games of a season of inconsistency.
“I thought we played all the rugby and I thought our finishing was clinical,” Young said after the match.
“Our approach work throughout the season has been good, but once we get into the opposition 22 we seem to panic and lack self-belief.
“We’ve worked on that over the last couple of weeks and performances like this are only going to add to the confidence.”
Ospreys coach Lyn Jones simply had to admit defeat. “Conceding those seven points just before the break was a little bit too much for us, but we dropped our heads far too early.
“We refused to stand up. Failure is not to be knocked down, it’s the refusal to get back up.
“I’m desperately sorry we didn’t show any character or bottle. It’s shocking. It’s up to the players to perform.”
