JAMES COMMITS TO SCARLETS
Scarlets wing Dafydd James has this week confirmed that having returned home to the Scarlets last summer, he has every intention of staying; extending his contract with the Scarlets until the end of season 2009.
Since re-joining the Scarlets from NEC Harlequins, Dafydd has made no secret of his delight at returning to Stradey Park and with his on-the-field form benefiting from being back home, he’s decided to stay.
Following in the footsteps of team mates Dwayne Peel, Alix Popham and returning outside half Stephen Jones to name but a few, James is the latest in a long line of players proud to cement their future with the Region as they prepare for a move to their new home.
Scarlets Chief Executive Stuart Gallacher said: “We are delighted that Dafydd has extended his contract for a further three seasons. He has been in great form for us this season and has been rewarded with a return into the international set-up. He is an extremely experienced and professional individual both on and off the field of play and a great ambassador for our Region”.
