Any hopes Carmarthen Athletic may have had of catching run away leaders Dunvant are all but gone as they slipped to third place. Lougher edged out Felinfoel 20-18 to steal in on second spot and Dunvant remain on course for the title with games to spare after hammering Kidwelly 7-50.

League Three (West) leaders Penclawdd returned to winning ways after last weekend’s draw with a 77-10 mauling of basement-dwellers Hendy. Held to a 22-all draw by nearest challengers Trimsaran last time out the champions elect showed just why they are tipped for the title as they ran-in 11 tries.

Vardre stole top spot in League Three (South West) thanks to an emphatic 41-7 win over visiting Kenfig Hill. Nantyffyllon slipped to second as they suffered a surprise 30-21 defeat at the hands of Bryncoch.

Pontarddulais remain in pole position in League Four (West) thanks to a 60-0 whitewash of struggling Fishguard. Meanwhile Ammanford kept up the pressure on the league leaders with a 12-55 hammering of third-from-bottom Cefneithen.

Heol y Cyw increased their lead at the top of League Four (South West) with a close-fought 23-15 win over mid-table Briton Ferry. Birchgrove notched a useful 5-20 win over Morriston to consolidate third place in the table. In the Friday night game Abercrave moved a step closer to safety with a 33-8 win over fellow strugglers Glais.

Llanybydder were held to a 13-13 stalemate by Aberaeron in a top-of-the-table clash that leaves both sides deadlocked on points in League Five (West). Meanwhile at the wrong end of the table Furnace triumphed 32-12 in the battle of the bottom two to leave St Davids four points adrift.

Glyncorrwg made the most of their game in hand to go joint top with BP Llandarcy in League Five (South West). Glyncorrwg edged out Neath Athletic 20-19 to claim three points that could prove crucial at the end of the season. Elsewhere struggling Pyle were narrowly beaten 20-24 by visiting Porthcawl.
