UWIC SECURE EMPHATIC BUSA VICTORY

The Cardiff-based side dominated throughout the match, giving Birmingham a stern lesson in how to play rugby. 

Danielle Waterman opened the scoring for UWIC after only a minute, with Rhian Bowden and Philippa Tuttiet getting in on the action within the next nine minutes.  Both Waterman and Tuttiet added another try apiece, with Christie Thompson and Amy Day bringing the score to 45-0 at half time. 

After the break Tuttiet completed her hat-trick, which along with 8 conversions, gave her an individual haul of 31 points.  Rachel Poolman also claimed a hat-trick in the second half. 

Birmingham’s only try came from Tracey Balmer to bring the final score to 71-7.
