Wales looked in control before a slashing break from Alex Hurst turned the game upside down just before the break. The centre put replacement full-back Tom Casson over for a converted try to leave England just 10-7 down and, although Dwr Y Felin CS centre Ashley Beck crossed early in the second half and Biggar converted, the bulkier England forwards started bossing the contact area.
A penalty from Clegg and converted try from flanker George Swinburne tied the scores. In injury-time Hurst skinned Beck for England’s third converted try before Welsh full-back James Loxton (Mary Immaculate HS) went over in the seventh minute of injury-time.
All depended on the conversion but Biggar’s kick was well wide to end a bad day.
