Tiata said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of playing in the UK. I have spent the last four years playing and training hard in Japan and I feel fit and raring to go. I have recently spent some time with the Ospreys and I am looking forward to making a big contribution next season.”
Regional Rugby Manager, Derwyn Jones was clearly delighted at his new signing: “Filo has a fearsome reputation as an aggressive, tough back rower and is a renowned big tackler.
“He will bring a huge physical edge to our game that we have at times lacked somewhat with the injuries to Ryan Jones and Andy Lloyd.
“He has flown over to meet us, passed a thorough medical and has undergone a battery of fitness tests. He is in top physical condition and we are looking forward to him meeting up with the squad ahead of next season.”
