“It was a great feeling to play for Wales and to score made itall the more special, but it would have been better had we won,” said Evans. “It was a dream come true to play for Wales but I’m disappointed with the result.
“It was a bruising encounter and I think we more than matched them but in the end their experience told. There were plenty of bumps and bruises after the game but we now know what we are going to face this weekend and we know we can do well.
“We made a few mistakes but overall we were pretty pleased with the way the boys fronted up to their physical style. We had a few chances that we didn’t put away but I’m sure we can step up again fore the second Test.”
