Rumney, Llantrisant and Rhydyfelin continued their unbeaten starts to the season. Rumney saw off Pill Harriers 27-16 to stay top of the table on point difference ahead of Llantristant, 48-14 winners at Mountain Ash and Rhydyfelin who inflicted a first defeat of the campaign on Llantwit Fardre, 15-8.
Mike Burke crossed twice as Newport HSOB won 48-17 at Abercarn to ease into second place in Division Three. Flanker Robert Hayes also grabbed two while scrum half Andrew Scream scored a try and kicked four conversions.
Penallta stay in pole position after wings James Powell and Lee Thomas lead a 47-10 rout over New Tredegar. Carl Rees, Andrew Powell and Steve Richards also scored.
Mike Regan and Stuart Orkney crossed as Llandaff beat local rivals Llandaff North in Division Four. Full-back Nathan Rees converted both tries in the 19-13 win. However Garndifaith and Monmouth both won their fourth successive games to keep control of the division.
Penarth bounced back from their shock Konica Minolta Cup defeat to Bryncethin last week with a rousing 67-6 victory over Vale of Glamorgan rivals Cowbridge who were also knocked out of the competition by Welsh Districts opposition. The win keeps Penarth top of Division Four South-West, just ahead of unbeaten Bedlinog.
Bettws lead Division Five with a 42-12 win over Caldicot and St Albans won their fourth successive game in Division Five South-East against Penygraig.
