Communication is key at WRU
The ambition of the Group to be the leader in communications has prompted the search for this high profile candidate and will elevate and strengthen the current communications team.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for all internal and external communications for both the Welsh Rugby Union and Millennium Stadium Plc. The appointee will report direct to the WRU Group Chief Executive and will be responsible for the communications team within the WRU Group.
WRU Group Chief Executive Roger Lewis said, “At the WRU, we have a commitment to continually improve communications inside and outside the WRU and the Millennium Stadium. We recognise the changing face of media and technology and see this appointment as an important way of strengthening and building our communications strategies internally and externally.

The WRU Group is seeking a dynamic and talented Head of Communications. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive you will be part of the Senior Management team with direct responsibility and accountability for all internal and external communications. You will have a detailed knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities that both traditional and new media channels pose and offer to the WRU Group. You will possess the capability to command respect from key stakeholders combined with a positive and professional attitude in all that you do.
