Llantrisant stay top of Two East thanks to their 36-12 win at Pill Harriers, while Rhydyfelin moved into second and took advantage of Rumney’s weekend off with a 23-12 win, as wing Gavin Close claimed two tries to take his tally to 14 for the season.
Mid-table Treherbert had no problems seeing off bottom club Croesyceiliog as centre Ceri Skym bagged four tries in the 47-6 win.

The week’s poor weather took it’s toll in the league as Abercarn, Newport HSOB and Rhymney were all forced to cancel.
It was top against second in Four East and league leaders Garndiffaith ran out winners with a 13-7 win at home to Nantglo. Tries by flanker Chris Baldwin and fullback Gareth Jones put paid to the guests ambitions as replacement fly half Richard Powell weighed in with a converted try.
Monmouth moved into second thanks to a 13-6 win over Llandaff as fly half Dave Croudace converted his own try and landed two penalties. Risca moved into third place with a dominatant 22-0 win at Talywain.
There was no British Lion or rugby legend on the field at Abertillery BG, but Gareth Edwards still got on the scoresheet as the fly half grabbed a try. He was overshadowed by Aber’s full back Darren Miles, who scored 16 points including four penalties and two conversions in the 26-6 win which kept Abertillery top of Five East.
Chepstow stayed second with a 25-20 win at home to Oakdale as the home side scored four tries through Wayne Morgan, Neil Evans, Ian Griffiths and Dan Chiu.
