Snowman missing! Reward offered
Percy went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning between 3.29am and 3.34am. The Stadium has acquired CCTV footage Millennium Stadium Snowman Missing! of, what appears to be, four figures sliding him away from his position at the Funderworld Theme Park turnstiles on Millennium Plaza and attacking him, before steering him ominously towards the river Taff.
“We would like to offer a reward of 10 free tickets to the Blizzard Funderworld Theme Park at the Millennium Stadium at a time of choice over the Christmas period for anyone who can supply any information leading to the safe return of Percy,” said Millennium Stadium chief executive Paul Sergeant.
“It’s a small price to pay if it leads to the safe return of someone who is integral to the Blizzard Funderworld experience and there will be no further questions asked.
“For the time being, the Funderworld organisers have shipped Pete the Snowman down to Cardiff from storage in Llanelli to pick up some of Percy’s duties, but apparently it’s just not quite the same.
“Pete and Percy have both spent a lot of time in Cardiff and both featured at the Winter Wonderland in the City Centre last year, so anyone who has been there may recognise him.
“He is big, round and white and has a pink hat. One saving grace is that he is made of fibreglass so we are hoping he has managed to float to safety if he did end up in the water.
“The other place for children and families to look, if they want to help us find him, would be in their gardens, as he was always very fond of birds, grass and trees – but he doesn’t much like dogs. He also has an irrational fear of rain and anything that gives off heat.”
Funderworld will provide an action packed programme of thrill and family rides, live music, street entertainment, and winter attractions, all weather guaranteed, under the closed roof of the Stadium and covering the whole of the pitch area at prices ranging from £4.99 for children, £7.99 for young persons and £10.99 for adults from its opening weekend on the 16th and 17th of December.
The one-price entry fee covers all rides and entertainments for the day and thrill-seekers can also attend from the 22nd December to 24th December and in the New Year from 2nd January to 7th January 2007.
