Preview: U16 Reebok Regional Final

The North take on the Ospreys in tonight’s final at Rodney Parade having already beaten their final opponents twice during the regulation season. If they should make it three in a row it would wind-up a remarkable season in which they have swept through the pool stages of the competition with eight successive wins. That run included a closely fought 8-7 victory at the Arms Park and a 17-8 success at Llandarcy.

Regional High Performance Manager, Gafyn Cooper, stated: “It has been a wonderful season for the boys and if there was a trophy at the end of today, it would be fully justified. Dale McIntosh and his coaching team have done a wonderful job and they too deserve to finish with yet another victory.”

The Ospreys, who won all three finals in last season’s competition, will certainly not be overawed although they have yet to beat the Blues this term.
