Millennium Magic makes encouraging start

The entire list of fixtures for Round 13 in engage Super League is being staged at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on May 5th and 6th.

Nigel Wood, the RFL’s Chief Operating Officer, said: “These ticket sales show that the excitement and anticipation surrounding the pioneering ‘Millennium Magic’ weekend continues to build.

“The excitement and competitiveness of this season’s engage Super League competition means that demand for tickets is now in full swing with the event only six weeks away. We expect this to increase as the event draws nearer.

Wood added: “We believe many supporters will make Millennium Magic a full family weekend of sporting entertainment and we would encourage everybody to secure their place now.

“The city of Cardiff has a tremendous track record of successfully hosting both Rugby League and other major sports and we hope the experience for supporters will be just as vibrant for Millennium Magic.”

Wood concluded: “Thousands of Welsh sports fans have attended previous Rugby League major events at the Millennium Stadium and we expect to welcome many more at this exciting weekend of engage Super League.

“The excellent value tickets mean that this is a family sporting occasion not to be missed.”

Meanwhile, the Millennium Magic weekend has been boosted further with the news that the Celtic Crusaders v Oldham National League game will now take place on Friday May 4th at Brewery Field, meaning that there is now even more Rugby League on offer in South Wales over the period.
