Scarlets draft in internationals for Welsh derby
Welsh internationals Mark Jones and Dwayne Peel return to the fray replacing Darren Daniel and Liam Davies respectively while fullback Barry Davies swaps places with Morgan Stoddart, who starts from the bench.
Inoke Afeaki comes in for Vernon Cooper in the second row as the only change in the pack.
Back rower Dafydd Jones wasn’t considered because of an ankle injury but he should be back in the frame for new week’s Heineken Cup showdown against Munster.
“In relation to the international players we have taken a view on all the returning guys and after having assessed them all we have decided some will be starting, while benching others and giving some players total rest,” explained Scarlets Director of Rugby Phil Davies.
He added, “The selection is based around limited disruption to the team following our fine win against Ulster.”
