Round Up: Principality Premiership

Former Wales outside-half Arwel Thomas kicked an 87th-minute drop-goal to secure the victory for the All Blacks. Thomas had earlier kicked four penalties, adding to a try from Kevin James. Pontypridd scored tries through Lawrence Price and Dafydd Lockyer with Dai Flanagan adding a conversion and two penalties.

Newport kept up the pressure on Neath with a 21-28 win over Aberavon but the Black and Ambers will need to score 15 tries at home to Pontypridd on Saturday if they are to prevent Neath taking the crown. Ryan Howells, Richard Fussell, and Nathan Williams touched down in the win at Aberavon with Dan Griffiths kicking three penalties and two conversions. Flanker Darryl Thomas, centre Darren Ryan and Anthony Edwards scored tries in reply for Aberavon all converted by Jamie Davies.

Fullback Jonathan Williams scored a try, two conversions and a penalty for Cross Keys as they beat Maesteg 32-25. David James grabbed a brace of tries in the win with Brendan Fisher and David Price also crossing for scores. Outside-half Luke Richards scored 15 of Maesteg’s points with a try, two conversions and two penalties. Gareth Thomas and Karl Hocking each scored tries for Maesteg in the defeat.
